Ben Wilson

ben wilson This is the blog of a one Ben Wilson, a Louisville, Kentucky native who enjoys baseball, beer, music, bikes, things that fly and good food. By day he pushes pixels and makes the Internet happen for a local advertising agency. His wife, Kelly is an Ironman, and his baby Amelia is the cutest thing ever.

So the other day, I was contacted via AIM by a guy named “Jerrod” in Orlando, Florida, asking my permission to use a photo I took of a performance of the “Lysistrata” (with Nick Smith and Ken Troklus of the world-famous Project Improv). Well, today he sent me a PDF of the photo in use on the front page of the indie, the “arts and entertainment section” of the University of Central Florida newspaper. Thanks Google Image Search!

  1. Just one question…

Do you have reason to believe that “Jarrod” was not who he says he is and was using an alias? Just wondering. :)

  2. He just said “Jerrod R.”, and considering I hadn’t met him before in person, he deserves the ignomy that is the double-quotes around his “name”. Heh. He did send me a PDF, though, so he’s got that going for him.

  3. I remember when my humanities class performed Lysistrata in high school. We updated it to be a gang war and did the whole thing in gangsta slang. I probably would not remember anything about Lysistrata had we not made it so fun. Anyway, congrats to you for taking a great photo and to and your subject for being so photogenic!
