Well, it’s been a LOOOONG damned time since I posted anything here, and I apologize, though it’s not like I have a huge readership. In any case, I have been slowly working through the new version theLocust, or more accurately, a complete weblog-thingy codenamed “Spanktoy”. Ok, it’s not “Spanktoy”, but i’m calling it “kludge-o”. In any case, I REALLY hope to have this new version up sometime in the next two weeks. I’ve really been hampered by other hobby interests (damned Dreamcast), and sometimes I wonder why I do this at all, really, but then I get back on that horse, and keep coding.

The new version of the weblog will have plenty of cool shit. Including, configurable front page (different little sideboxes, called “widgets”), the ability to submit news either to a user-voted queue, or directly to the admins, a polling booth, and numerous neat little things. I’m about 64.3% done with the stuff I want to get done, so if I put the pedal down, it’ll get done.

I’ve also registered kyGeek.org, intended to be a community weblog for techies in Kentuckiana, and it will run kludge-o when I gets it goin’.

In the meantime, why don’t you go despise Scientology a little more.
